(i) Powerbrellas

Much field-testing has taken place since February’08 both in Orlando, Fl where SKYShades officials have been perfecting the ‘bonding system’ to ensure that the electricity-generating panels are protected from the elements etc., and in Lowell Mass., where Konarka's officials have been connecting and measuring the electrical components. [N.B. SKYShades has applied for a world-patent of this ‘bonding system’]. Further testing will take place in Orlando throughout September to identify the types of batteries appropriate to the collection unit housed in the columns. As well, SKYShades has to finalise the design of the wiring so that the manufacturer of these retractable Powerbrellas can insert the electricals into the metal framework.

Our immediate targets for these Powerbrellas will be world-wide groups such as major coffee store chains along with Hotel and Resorts.  It would be preferable to gain a large one-client order (e.g. 1000 units at a time) which will provide ease of sale, installation and payment.
